Have you ever wondered how to get visibility to what is happening within your JDE security?
Whether you are using the new Release 22 Enhanced User Security Activity Tracking, standard JDE functionality, or the ALLOut Security tools to enhance this information, there is some basic setup that needs to be completed.
The jde.ini setting for F9312 (Security History) auditing in standard JDE is History=1 which comes under the SECURITY section. This ONLY controls the recording of the 01 and 02 event types(sign-on and sign-off). If this is turned ON then you’ll see 01 and 02 being recorded in F9312, if this is OFF you won’t see 01 and 02 being recorded in F9312.
Irrespective of the jde.ini setting – many security and user changes created in JDE applications such as P0092 User Set up), P95921(Role Relationships), and P00950 (Security) will always be recorded in F9312.
Expand your information by Utilizing ALLOut Security
You can expand this information significantly with the use of ALLOut applications to track additional content such as enabling and disabling users, expiration on role relationships, and environment set up. Compliance details are not handled by native E1 but changes can be tracked and reported using ALLOut Software. The events captured are on/off as determined by our configuration screens and not the jde.ini settings. This gives you quick audit visibility if tracking has been turned off enabling unauthorized or reported changes. Our enhanced reporting simplifies and standardizes this information for you.
If you are an ALLOut customer, feel free to login to the customer portal and check out our ALLOut Academy “ALLOut E1 Audit History Reporting“ class for more information including managing this by path code and environment.
