AI Adoption in JDE Is a Security Decision: What Will It Inherit?

Dr. Frosoulla Kofterou
Program(s):
Tools & Tech: System Administration
Track(s):

Abstract

When AI acts inside JD Edwards, it inherits the security already there and scales whatever it finds, sound or weak. That turns your security posture from a technical control task into a business decision that IT, audit, and finance all share. Consider an AP agent built to support one task but connected with broader access than intended. Address book records and supplier bank details are both within reach. Without oversight, the agent could move across a critical process, taking actions no one approved. It could just as easily lock users out of a live system in one automated step. The controls that determine whether adoption is safe are not new: least privilege, role design, access reviews, segregation of duties, approval workflows, monitoring, and audit evidence. They are the same controls SOX and ISO compliance depend on. AI simply puts them under greater pressure. Grounded in more than 20 years of native JD Edwards security experience, ALLOut gives you an AI Adoption Readiness Framework to assess whether your security model is ready and find the gaps AI will amplify. Design a model you can automate and evidence with confidence.

Abstract

Have you ever wondered what it takes to get access and risk information from your JDE system? Having this visibility is often considered a compliance requirement but in reality, it is imperative for any ERP control environment. This information is used to protect company assts, ensure staffing resources are appropriate, and to trouble shoot data inconsistencies such as integrity report issues. This session will walk through what it takes to generate this information and ways that it can be readily available without relying on key IT resources as we review what data you need to consider, walk through examples of key pieces of information, and review automation alternatives.
